Otterbein United Methodist Church is committed to being the warmest and friendliest church that we can possibly be, reaching out to the community and the world.  We offer a positive message of Christian hope for all.  We choose to be a church that involves itself in the lives of our neighbors, joyously telling them about the Good News of the Gospel and exemplifying the quality of life and the grace found in Jesus' name.

Upcoming Events:

Fish Fry: June 1 - 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Fish, tenderloin,  and fries by Dan's Fish Fry.  All -You - Can- Eat fish and tenderloin. Meal also inclues bread, sides, drink and dessert.  Adult: $9; Child (6-12) $5; Ages 5 and under free. Carryouts will be available. We are currently looking for volunteers for these positions: Kitchen Captain.  Contact the church office at oumc1@comcast.net or 583-4441 to volunteer.

Vacation Bible School--Sky- Everything is possible with God. July 8 - July 12, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. VBS closing program will be July 15 at 10:45 a.m.  Sign up at the Connection Station in the narthex at church.

Holy Yoga - Contact Danielle Adams at 765-586-6753 or daniellead@holyyoga.net or http://www.holyyogafoundation.com/ for information. Holy Yoga Gentle is on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and Holy Yoga Lever l meets on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. Saturday morning and Family Holy Yoga classes are also available and will be announced.

Summer Preschool: Two sessions will be offered: Monday--3 to 4 year olds. Friday--5 to 6 year olds. Cost is $40 for a four-week session. Session 1 is June 4 to June 29. Session 2 is July 16 to August 10. Applications are available in the Connection Stateion in the narthex at church.

  • What does Otterbein UMC believe?
    Our mission at OUMC is reach out with the positive message of Jesus Christ to all people. We believe that each person is called to work out his or her own theology based on the Scripture, which we revere as the ultimate authority. We believe in one true God, who has all power, wisdom and goodness. A God who made and preserves all things. We believe in grace, in that God loves every person and continually seeks to forgive our failure to be obedient. We believe that God revealed Himself on earth in the form of Jesus of Nazareth Both the words and actions of Jesus, as recorded in the scriptures, help us to better understand the loving nature of God. And that through the ultimate act of giving his life, Jesus reconciled us with himself. Thereby, through faith in Jesus Christ, we become reconciled with God. We believe in the Holy Spirit through which God reveals himself today in different ways.
